Are you looking for a way to export longitudinal data to .CSV files? If so, this feature allows manager users to export longitudinal data at a scheduled day and time. This export includes filter options such as period selection, course numbers, survey types, etc. and tailored data items selection such as course name, number, section, and code.

So, how do I find the feature? Go to the Reports menu > Survey Results > Longitudinal Exports

From here you will be able to set the following:

  • Data Options
  • Filters
  • Schedule and File Options, including Extract Folder location

When the export process is executed, individual files are created for each period, survey type, and data type selected.

The data types are:

  1. Numerics – Likerts, multi-select, etc.
  2. Comments – Any open-ended responses
  3. Feedback – Evaluation report feedback

Responses are listed one per row to make it easy to filter and aggregate.

Anonymous participant identifiers are included in the files to easily connect the data to create a full set of answers for an anonymous individual. If requested (and signed-off on) Course Evaluations Support can enable the option to include participant identifiers, to combine the survey data with other institution data for deeper research.
