The Course Import process has never allowed a duplicate course to enter Course Evaluations. But manually creating or editing courses can produce duplicates by course number, section, and period.
The add and edit processes now have validation rules in place to prevent this from occurring. The lone exception is Master Courses (from the merge process) which could have the same course number/section/period as a child course that it is created from.
When Course Evaluations is updated:
- Duplicate courses that are not found on surveys are deleted
- Duplicate courses where more than one is found on a survey are left intact and a Published Report is generated (The report can be downloaded to review the duplicates)
