• Course Administrators - Are responsible faculty/course supervisors that are not being evaluated. This role acts like the Responsible Faculty role EXCEPT people in this role will not appear for selection in the Detailed Settings/Question Category Settings and survey questions will never be attached to them. People in this role will have access to all results for all course sections that they supervise, similar to a Department Administrator.
  • Department Administrators (Course Department Administrators and/or Faculty Department Administrators) – Are Chairs or other individuals who need to view survey results for all courses in a department.
  • Faculty – Are all faculty users that are imported into Course Evaluations are given this role automatically.  This is the default role that is assigned by the system.
  • Responsible Faculty – Are faculty who have primary responsibility for a course.  The Responsible Faculty is the instructor and may be the course director.
  • Participating Faculty – Are faculty that are guest lecturers, lab instructors, co-lecturers, or anyone who is helping teach the class.  The Participating Faculty does not have primary responsibility for the course being taught.
  • Assessed Individuals - Are faculty or students who have been assessed on a survey and have survey results.
  • School Administrators – Are Provosts, Vice Presidents, Deans, or other individuals who need to view survey results for all courses at the school level.
  • Teaching Site Administrators – Are Preceptors, Internship Supervisors, or Student Teacher Supervisors are examples of individuals who may need to view survey results for all courses conducted at a Teaching Site.
  • Teaching Assistants – Are students or faculty who have a dual role.  These are students who spend time teaching, assist professors, staff laboratories, or work in departmental study centers or faculty who attend classes.
  • Students – Are all individuals enrolled in courses that are imported into Course Evaluations are given this role automatically.  This is the default role that is assigned by the system.
