Research Codes can be attached to faculty and student records to identify groups of people for research purposes. In the past, these codes were limited to one value choice in each column A1,A2,A3…A10 and/or B1,B2,B3…B10 and/or C1,C2,C3…C10 that was not customizable. This meant that the campus would have to create a 'cheat sheet' to remember what attribute the codes aligned with. This was not an optimal process.

The codes have been updated to allow users to import or manually add a three-character code that is meaningful to the campus and not be locked into remembering what A1 means in the data. The values that are stored in these lists are included in survey results exports, data warehouse exports and can be used for 'post hoc' analysis.
